Our State License, National Accreditation, and
New York State Education Department Registration
The Early Childhood Center is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. We must renew our license with the Office of Children and Family Services every four years. During site visits, the licensor assigned to our program will review all aspects our program including child health policies, staff training, infection control procedures and emergency procedures.
The Early Childhood Center is proud to be one of a very limited number of Westchester preschools to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Programs accredited by NAEYC have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive and rigorous process of internal self-study and improvement. Enrollment in a NAEYC accredited program is an assurance that children will be safe, healthy, and engaged by a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate each and every day. More information about NAEYC accreditation can be found at www.rightchoiceforkids.org
In addition, The Early Childhood Center is registered by the New York State Education Department.
