The Twos Program at the ECC is a wonderful introduction to an early childhood education program. There is a transitional period at the start of the school year to help children become comfortable in their new environment and with their new teachers. The two’s program is the time to build a sense of wonder and create a love for learning through intentional play based activities. Their day includes outdoor exploration, music and movement, sharing of children’s literature, playing with friends, and bonding with their teachers.

The Twos team is led by Claudia Gardner, who is completing her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Mercy College and has been with the ECC since 2009. Additional faculty includes Dalia Hernandez and Katherine Grayson.

The core program runs from 9am to 12pm and parents have the choice to send their children 2, 3 or 5 days a week:

• The 2-day program is on Tuesdays and Thursdays

• The 3-day program is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

• The 5-day program is every weekday

Lunch Bunch, Creative Kids, and Extended Day Options are all available for the Twos.
